Hello everyone and apologies for absence.
Finally I think I’m ready to get going (slowly) again.
The last knee injection was Monday 22nd November and it was quite painful. (Surprising because the others didn’t hurt at all).
Anyway, for the last week I’ve done about 2000 or more steps a day plus the gentle exercises the doctor gave me.
Today i tried the exercise bike but gave up after a minute because I could hear and feel my knee creaking!
So it looks as though it’s going to be a case of taking it slowly – but – hey I’ve made a start!

Sandy, welcome back to the world of exercise. Remember that you want to last there. Take it slowly and try slow progression.
Gentle is the word.

Sandy,
What a good surprise to see you’re trying again!
It would be good to hear more on how much time your walking took, where you went, which days, so we’d have a better sense of how it fits in your life.
And, as mentioned to Sara, focus on the positive as you did in your last line; that’s what we want to support.

Thanks Claude. I’m aiming to get at least haflway towards your amount of walking. Eventually!!
Naomi, I did my 2000+ steps daily just around the house. It was so good to be able to move more freely and without limping! The next step is to walk round the village but I’m waiting for the rain to ease off.

Hi Sandy, it’s great to read what you’re accomplishing especially after such an incredible challenge.

Around the house is great, you can do quite a lot that way! I’m so glad you’re back in action, Sandy!
