Hi Everyone,
This morning was a one hour treadmill walk. I did it at 3.5 mph (5.63 km) with no elevation. Sara was along side on the recumbent stationary bike. Again, our “secret” is to make exercise habitual (about the same time every day) and to add companionship.
To help, we are now watching an online series of lectures from the Teaching Company on the history of Impressionism. So, Monet, Renoir and the rest join us in our workout! Nice to have such esteemed company.
Huff and puff and learn.
Hope it is good and productive day for one and all!
Ron

I think that the idea of doing this together is wonderful. One of my problems is regularity. I can walk alright, because my motivation is to get around and take photos. So I can walk for hours on end, but getting the huff and puff on the bike, I find more difficult.
I have organised to have my laptop next to my recumbent bike, this way, I can watch DVDs that make time go by faster, as I pedal away. The problem is how often I get on the bike. This week has been totally unproductive in that respect.
Congratulations on the huffing and puffing AND learning

Ron, I prefer the treadmill to the stationary bicycle. The only way I can stay on the bicycle is either watching something on the tv or on my mp3 player.
Claude, if you have your laptop near, are you attached to the internet? If so, take a look at TED Talks (http://www.ted.com/talks) or JohnLocker (http://johnlocker.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1) for endless fascinating videos.

No treadmill here. No room for one either. I just have to tough it out and walk outside and I’m okay with that — isn’t it why God invented boots and umbrellas? lol
